"ASPEN, Colo. - Dr. Rodney Ellsworth Kirk, formerly of Morristown, died April 9. He was 58.
He was born in Geneva, N.Y., and lived in Morristown for several years before moving to Aspen 20 years ago.
  An orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kirk had a practice in Morristown for several years before moving to Aspen, where he and several other orthopedic surgeons shared a practice in the Roaring Fork Valley.
  He was a captain in the Air Force, and served in Alaska for several years.
  He is survived by two sons, David of Los Angeles and Doug of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Julie and Jennifer, both of San Francisco; his mother, Elizabeth Hargrove Pierce; and a sister, Dulcy Tamarin of Philadelphia."
