Obituary for Mrs. Nellie W. Davis

"Mrs. Nellie W. Davis, 74, of 427 N. Cayuga St., died today, Nov. 30, 1961, at Tompkins County Hospital.
  The widow of David B. Davis, she is survived by a son, Richard W. Davis of Ithaca.
Mrs. Davis, a graduate of the Oneonta Normal School, had taught for over 40 years in the state and had spent 22 of those years in the Ithaca Public School system. In 1954 she retired but continued to substitute teach until poor health forced her to resign in 1960.
  Private funeral services will be held Saturday at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the family pot[sic] in East Lawn Cemetery."
