"Albert D. August, 93, passed away at 12:51 pm on August 18, 2018 at Daviess Community Hospital. Albert was born on April 19, 1925 in Derrick City, PA the son of Dale Albert and Ruth (Maplestone) August. He married Esther Sutterlin on February 1, 1951 and she preceded him in death on August 2, 2010. Albert graduated from Cornell University and served his country in the US Navy during WW II where he achieved the rank of MOMM First Class. He was manager for Swift Hatchery and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper and the VFW."
