"ELBA - Carlton (Jack) Porter, age 76, founder of Porter Farms in Elba, died Friday, December 22, 2006, at Rochester General Hospital.
  Mr. Porter was born August 8, 1930 in Buffalo, the son of the late Carlton J. and Elizabeth Nolan Porter.
  Mr. Porter received his Bachelor's of Science Degree from Cornell University Agricultural School and after graduation was an active alumnus. While at Cornell, he was a member of the nationally ranked livestock judging team. He always valued the environment and conservations efforts."
