"Educated in the Ithaca schools, Mr. Pritchard was graduated from Cornell University in 1912. He served as lieutenant in the Transportation Corps of the Army in France during World War I. After the war he joined the staff of his father's garage and automobile sales agency for Buick and Dodge cars. About 1921 the manufacturers asked that the dealerships be separated, and a brother, William T. Pritchard, took the Dodge agency. Leon Pritchard had headed the Buick garage firm since the death of his father in 1935."
