 "James T. Powers, 78, of 118 Vera Circle, Ithaca, and of Hollywood, Fla., died Friday, July 18, 1975, at Lakeside Nursing Home.
  He was born in Rochester, and was the son of the late Richard J. and Mary Mullen Powers.
  Mr. Powers, who had been a postal clerk at the Ithaca station for 37 years, retired in 1961.
  He was a veteran of World War Il and a member of the V.F.W.
  He is survived by a son. Richard J. Powers of Ithaca; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Nora) Nazer of Ithaca, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Davenport of Ithaca and Mrs. DeForest (Margaret) Wheeler of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Bangs Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church.
  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery."
