"Aurora Heights, the new housing development on Grandview Ave became a reality today. Two families moved into the area overlooking Cayuga Lake on South Hill.
It is expected this development designed to provide occupancy for 58 families will be filled by July 1....
The development involves 11 buildings of wood frame structure with brick veneer finish. The design is colonial. Some 4 acres of land for the project was contributed by the Morse Chain Company whose employees will have preference on leases.
It was built by the W.R. Lanphear Construction Company of Corning in a joint arrangement with the Federal Housing Authority and the chain company."
