" Barbara Jean Wilcox Thuesen, beloved mother, teacher, mentor and friend, died peacefully in her daughter's presence at her home in Ithaca, NY on January 24, 2019.
  Barbara was born in Ithaca, NY on August, 9, 1932, to William Roswell Wilcox Sr. and Francis Marion Greene Wilcox. She was the sixth generation of the Wilcox and Greene families who arrived in the area in the early 1600s. She married her beloved US Marine, Ralph Thuesen in 1952 and they traveled extensively together with the Marine Corps until 1976 when he retired and they returned to Ithaca. Her Colonel died from Agent Orange exposure in 1984.

She is survived by her sister Mary Jane Wilcox, brother-in-law Bob Jacobson, daughter Nancy Thuesen Gell, son-in-law David John Gell, son Michael Wilcox Thuesen, daughter-in-law Miriam Wallace Thuesen, grandson Andrew Thuesen, granddaughter Erica Thuesen, great grandchildren Ali, Damon and Elijah and many extended family members."
