"Ithaca Lodge of Elks has completed negotiations for the purchase of the Elizabeth Clark property at 133 West State Street, immediately adjoining the Elks' Lodge State Street property on the east....
The Clark property has long been a landmark on West State Street. An old white house, it has long been the only dwelling house on the 100 block of West State Street.
The Elks intend to remove the dwelling and improve the ground so that it will become part of the lodge's landscaping scheme on State Street... In addition to the State Street lawns, the lodge maintains an expansive lawn and floral gardens on the Geneva Street side of the property, which have been much admired."
