"Mrs. Clara Cummings, 77 [i.e. born approximately 1884], widow of Bernard W. Cummings, of 700 Stewart Ave. died today at Oak Hill Manor early today, Thursday, March 9, 1961 after a long illness. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Christine Ruppe of Bronxville and Miss Marcella Cummings of Ithaca and a son, Arthur Cummings of Syracuse."
