  "Mrs. Gertrude U. Crandall, 88, of 216 Lake Ave., died in Woodside Manor Nursing Home in Rochester on Thursday, Aug. 31, 1972. She was the widow of the late John M. Crandall and a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and Ithaca Senior Citizens.
  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John Dutko of Rochester and Mrs. Ralph L. Lewis of Shavertown, Pa.; a son, John Crandall of Denver, Colo., and five grandchildren.
  Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Wagner Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery."
