"Dr. Edward Meany who purchased the old Taughannock Falls hotel, on the 'American side,' has a gang of men at work on the building. It has not been in use for the past ten years during which time it has become quite dilapidated. Dr. Meany expects to have the building ready for occupancy by next summer. It will be entirely remodeled this winter and large verandas will be added to it. The place will be conducted as a summer hotel and will be in charge of an experienced hotel man. It occupies one of the finest situations in this part of the State and should prove a very popular resort."
