Mrs. Cowell was born in Ithaca, May 8, 1860, the daughter of Brig, Gen. William Glenny and Helen M. Glenny, 102 First St. Her grandfather was Herota P. Barnes, active in the Methodist Church here. Her father organized the first company of men to leave Ithaca in the Civil War, entering service as a captain. ..."
