   "Mrs. Lucy Tibbetts Wellar, wife of Arthur B. Wellar, treasurer of the Ithaca Trust Company, died at her home, 319 North Geneva Street, early Thursday evening.
   Mrs. Wellar had been an invalid for 30 years. Seven years ago she suffered a stroke, and last month she was again stricken but rallied until early this week when she began failing rapidly. She was 62 years old on Oct. 11.
   She was born in Pond Eddy, the daughter of Captain and Mrs. J. Warren Tibbetts. Her father was an officer in the Civil War, and for a time sheriff of Tompkins County. The family was widely known here where Captain Tibbetts was a paint manufacturer.

   Mrs. Wellar is survived by her husband, by a sister, Miss Alice Tibbetts of Ithaca, and by a daughter, Mrs. Fred N. Anibal, and her husband of Rochester."
