"Alva B. Kennedy, 69, a native of Ithaca, died at 9:55 o'clock Monday evening at his home, 208 Prospect Street.
   He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Marlan Hetherington of Stamford, N. Y., Miss Evelyn Kennedy of Troy and Mrs. Dorothy Jamison of Covert, and eight grandchildren.
   For many years Mr. Kennedy was in the jewelry business with his father in this city; he retired eight years ago. He was a member of Hobasco Lodge of the Masons and the First Methodist Episcopal Church."
