Highlights from obituary in The Ithaca Journal for Aaron Wells.

Aaron Wells, well known to hundreds of Cornellians died early this morning, Sept. 12, 1953, in Memorial Hospital. In recent months he had been ill of a heart ailment.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Emily Wells; a daughter, Miss Constance Wells; a son, Charles Wells.  Born in New York City, son of Henry L. and Jennie Berger Wells, his family moved to Ithaca when he was 11 years of age. His father opened a clothing business here. He attended Ithaca schools and then went into his father's business. He served in WWI and after returning from service opened his own clothing business in partnership with Martin Shannon. In 1934 he became proprietor of the well-known "Zincks" in the 100 block of N. Aurora St., which had changed hands many times since its owner, Theodore Zinck, died in 1903.
