“Mrs. Bessie L. Jones, 83, of 132 Cleveland Ave., died Thursday, Aug. 24, 1972 at her home. Mrs. Jones was the widow of the late Allen B. Jones. She was a member of the A.M.E. Zion Church and the Cic Club.

  She is survived by two sons, Herman Jones of Baltimore, Md., and Richard Jones of Baltimore, Md; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Brown of Ithaca; one niece; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

  Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday Aug. 26, at the A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. J. Franklin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday Aug. 25 in the Herson Funeral Home.”
