    No house number on census. Street indication on census is "East Lake Road, going north." William Bower is not in the 1949 or 1951 Ithaca City Directory in the Street listing. The "Tri State Egg & Poultry Co Inc 2911" is listed in 1949 as the furthest north entry on Lake Road and in 1951 and 1952 as the penultimate entry on Lake Road as "Tri State Egg & Poultry Co Inc 2911---4-0422." In 1953, after Lake Road became East Shore Drive, the listing was at 969 East Shore Drive as "Tri State Egg & Poultry Co Inc 4-6393". The current commercial building at 969 East Shore Dr was built in 1980. Checking later directories, in the 1958 directory, the far north of East Shore Drive showed many house numbers new since earlier directories; William C. Bowers is listed at 983 East Shore Drive. As a best effort for locating the position of the residence at which the Bowers lived in 1950, it will be positioned near the current location of that address. The building at 983 East Shore in 2025 is a non-residential building built in 1999.
