No house number on census. The enumerator indicated that it was on Forest Home Drive, but Ithaca City Directories from 1939 through 1941 indicate that the house occupied by the Force family was the first house on the west entrance to The Byway, known as 2 The Byway once house numbers were established. Albert's mother, Clara S[locum] Force, was listed in these directories as the householder. Albert's antique shop was also listed on The Byway. "The Byway" (sometimes spelled By-Way) was used as an address in the Ithaca Journal from 1936. The enumerator specified "PW" as the class of worker, but it was coded "OA" for "Own Account" (i.e., self-employed).
