Description
This house was built ca. 1900-1915 by local builder Eugene Preswick.

The Gauntlett & Andrus Paper Company was at one time located on this property, below the house and close to Fall Creek. Apparently the factory operated only from 1846-1851, and then stood unused for many years before it collapsed.  The factory is shown in the Extract in 1853 Map of Tompkins County showing Free Hollow (now Forest Home) [https://www.fhia.org/historic-maps-of-forest-home/#1853].
