"About 30 paid and volunteer firefighters, mostly from the Ithaca Fire Department, tested their skills Sunday as an abandoned house at 127 Cherry St. was set afire.
Different kinds of fires were tried, and finally the house was burned to the ground, Assistant Fire Chief Guy VanBenschoten said.
The 2 1/2-story, woof-frame house was donated tot he City of Ithaca by the Wallace Steel Co...."
