"Burns & Carey have sold what is known as the old cider mill property on West State street, owned by Fred D. Van Order, to William A. Murray, who intends to raze the building and erect a fire-proof garage on the site. The sale marks the approaching end of a structure which has been a familiar landmark for many years. Mr. Murray has occupied the property for several months with a temporary garage.
The property has a frontage of seventy feet. Mr. Murray was formerly connected with a large repair plant in New York City and expects to have his new garage completed within a few months."

William A Murray, Garage and Repairing

"[William A.] Murray started in 1914 to service cars with gasoline from steel drums. He converted a former cider mill into an auto repair shop. This shop was across the street from the service station, on the present site of a parking lot."
