From the death notice for William Jefferson, Ithaca Journal, September 13, 1923, 5: "He leaves his wife and one daughter, Mrs. George Ford of Ilion; two sisters, Mrs. Kitty Jayne and Mrs. Maude Reese, both of this city, and three brothersFrank Jefferson of Groton, John Jefferson of Oakland, Calif., and Charles Jefferson of Baltimore."
