"William H. Taylor, 56, of 213 North Corn Street, for the past 20 years head chef at Prudence Risley Hall at Cornell, died at Memorial Hospital at 3 p. m. Thursday, June 4, 1936, following a short illness.
Mr. Taylor was born in Odessa and came to Ithaca as a young man to become chef at the old Alhambra in the 100 block of North Aurora Street. He was employed by Thomas Herson, proprietor, for nearly 15 years when he accepted a position as head chef at Prudence Risley.
He is survived any two daughters, Mrs. William W. Wallace of Ithaca and Mrs. John C. Harlan of Raleigh, N. C.; three brothers, Franklin C. Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio, and Albert Taylor of Buffalo; one sister, Mrs. Mable DeFrank of Buffalo, and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at the family home at 4 p. m. Sunday. The Rev. Henry P. Horton, rector of the St. John's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Internment will be in Lake View Cemetery."
