  "Hampton--Anthony H. Andrews, 77, of 809 Newport News Ave., died Sunday in Hampton General Hospital.
  Born in Bath, N.Y., he grew up in Ithaca, N.Y. and was a Peninsula resident for more than 35 years.
  A graduate of Howard University, he did post-graduate work at Cornell University.
  A civil engineer, he owned and operated a civil engineering business for many years.
   He taught at West Virginia College from 1946 until 1955 and at Hampton University the past two years. He worked at Langley Air Force Base until retiring in 1979.
  He was a member of St. Cyprians Episcopal Church where he served on the Vestry Board.
  He was a member of the National Association of professional Civil Engineers, the railroad hobbyist National Model Railroad Association Inc. and the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mamie P. Andres; two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Simpson of Baltimore and Mrs. Gloria Smith of Hampton; a son, Anthony Andrews Jr. of Hampton; and three grandchildren.
  A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Cypriots Episcopal Church, Hampton, by Rev. Edwin L. Bishop.
  Burial will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens...."
