Forest Home School presents Christmas program.

 "The Forest Home School recently presented its annual Christmas program of songs, carols, and rhythm band selections, under the direction of an Ithaca College student, who also played two saxophone solos.
  After the musical selections, pupils of the primary grades, under the direction of the teacher, Mrs. Nellie Davis, gave Yuletide recitations and a dramatization of a part from "Pinocchio." The intermediate students also recited and presented a play, "Anne's Christmas Presents," based on the book, "Anne of Green Gables." Miss Myrtle E. Upright directed.
  A flute solo of Christmas carols was given by Mrs. Trevor Teele. There was a Christmas tree, from which gifts and candy were distributed."

 "Mrs. Teele Dies; Friend to Students
  Mrs. Martha S. Teele, 76, of 306 N. Aurora St., formerly of Forest Home, died Tuesday at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.
  Born in Snyder, Neb., the daughter of the late August Friedrick and Thakla Miesling Strube, she was the widow of Trevor Teele.
  Mrs. Teele was a graduate of Tulsa, Okla. Business College, attended the University of Rochester, and was a graduate of Wheelock Kindergarten Training School, Boston, Mass. She did graduate studies at Cornell and Columbia Universities.
  She taught kindergarten in a Country Day School in Brookline, Mass. and in the Forest Home School Ithaca.
  An active member of the Tompkins County Council of Churches, she taught Sunday School and organized summer vacation schools. She organized the first interracial Girl Scout Troop in Ithaca.
  Mrs. Teele was a National Board Member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom; and she initiated and was chairman of the Jane Addams Children's Book Award, and was a lifetime member of the Ithaca Branch of the League.
  Mrs. Teele originated and was director of the International Friendship Center in Ithaca, which offered hospitality to foreign students of Cornell University and Ithaca College, classes in American language for the wives, and story hours for children.
  She was a member of the Ithaca Society of Friends and of the First Unitarian Church.
  Mrs. Teele and her husband raised and educated several foster children.
  She is survived by a brother in the State of Washington."
