Mrs. Sarah Hoyt  died on Oct 23 1931 at her home, 116 Linn St.  According to her obituary in the Ithaca Journal, she was survived by her son, Frank L. Hoyt of Genoa, Cayuga County, NY and two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Austin of Ithaca and Mrs. Nina Trumpeter of Elkland, PA.

On January 25, 1927, in the Ithaca Journal, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoyt of Venice, Cayuga County, NY announced the birth of a daughter, Betty Hazel on January 14, 1927.

In the 1930 census, Carrie Austin and her husband, Alonzo were living at 116 Linn St, Ithaca, but Sarah Hoyt, was not recorded.

In the 1940 census, an Elizabeth Hoyt was enumerated with Carrie and Alonzo Austin and identified as a grand-daughter.
