Obituary for Ellen Sullivan

"Mrs. Ellen Sullivan, 85, of 810 E. Shore Rd [see Note below], widow of Frank Sullivan, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1955, in Memorial Hospital, after a short illness.
She is survived by five nieces, Mrs. Rose Stewart of Ithaca, Mrs. Francis Sweeney, Newark; Mrs. Richard Smith, and Miss Cecilia Buckley of Auburn, Mrs. Donald Sherman of New York City, and four nephews, Clare Sullivan and the Rev. Irving Sullivan of Auburn and William and James Buckley of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Herson Funeral Home, 110 S. Geneva St., followed by a High Mass of Requiem in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 9.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home."
Note: No address 810 East Shore Drive appears in Ithaca City Directories from 1953 (the first year the street was changed from Lake Road to East Shore Drive) to 1956. All the houses with 8xx numbers are on the east side of the road, away from the lake. However, there is evidence that Ellen Sullivan owned a property in 1923 that would have the address 910 East Shore Drive when she died.
