"Smith G. Griffin, 56, of 918 Danby Rd. died unexpectedly this morning Monday, Dec. 5, 1955 after a heart attack while at work at the Adding Machine Division of National Cash Co., where he was processing supervisor.
He had been employed at the Adding Machine Co., for 33 years and was a member of the 25-Year Club of that organization.
A graduate of Newfield High School, he attended Cornell University, Class of 1920, and was graduated from Rochester Business Institute in 1921.
He was a member of Ithaca Lodge 66, Loyal Order of Moose, and Ithaca Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lottie Griffin; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Massoth of Phoenix; two sons, T. Sgt. Edward Griffin of Fairchild Air Force Base, Fairchild, Wash., and Robert Griffin of Interlaken RD 2; a sister, Mrs. John MacCourt of Ithaca, and several cousins.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Friends may call at the Allen Funeral Chapel, Newfield, Tuesday."
