"Please call me Ms.
Let me add to the confusion of Miss, Mrs. or Ms. For the 20 years I was married, I was Mrs. (that's simple enough). Then I got divorced. Now that I'm no longer married am I now Miss or Mrs.?  I didn't change my name so I guess I'm still considered Mrs. even though I'm not married. Six years after the divorce I decided to go back to my maiden name. Now am I Miss or Mrs.?  I don't know.  If you must call me something, call me Ms.
     Frances Aldrich, Etna."

Ithaca Journal, Oct. 3, 1973, 11.
