"YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. William H. Thomas, 78, of 81 Rosemont Ave., Youngstown, died of a heart attack at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 1971 at his residence, following a three-month illness.
Mr. Thomas was born Nov. 18, 1892 in Chadwicks [NY], the son of Henry and Anna Schaffer Thomas, and had moved to Youngstown from Ithaca in November of 1969.
He retired from his business, the East Shore Mart, a grocery store, in 1957. He had attended Cornell University.
He was a member of the Four Mile Run Christian Church in Youngstown.
Besides his wife, Amelia Bobish Thomas, he is survived by one son, Milan Thomas, at home, and a sister, Mrs. Fred D'Aprix of Utica."
