  Prenuptial parties for the bride were miscellaneous showers given by Mrs. Harvey Jayne and Mrs. Richard Moravec and by Mrs. Dean Moore, Mrs. Milton Groves and Mrs. Leonard Sheldon, and an after rehearsal buffet at the home of the bridegroom's mother and stepfather."

 "Leonards fete 60 years.

  The 60th wedding anniversary of John F. (Jack) and Abbie D. Leonard was celebrated on July 3, 1999, at an afternoon reception at Branches attended by their children, relatives and close friends.
  The champagne reception was given in honor of the couple by their children, Dawn MacGraffick of Greensboro, N.C., and John and Sharyn Leonard of Chula Vista, Calif.
  The couple were married July 1, 1939, at State Street Methodist Church.
  Mr. Leonard is retired from Tayton's and Mrs. Leonard is retired from Cornell University. The couple live on Seven Mile Drive in Ithaca."
