Marriage of Mildred Hovanus to Glenn David Horton on Feb 25, 1950

  "Mr. and Mrs. George Hovanus of the Triphammer Rd. announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Mildred Hovanus, to EM2 Glenn David Horton of Douglas, Wyo., now stationed at the Naval Reserve Station, Ithaca, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 1950. The Rev. Roy Nylin officiated at the ceremony in the Calvary Full Gospel Church. Mrs. Nylin played traditional wedding music.
  The bride wore a navy blue suit with pink accessories and a corsage of white carnations. Her sister, Miss Edith Hovanus, was majd[sic] of honor.
  After a reception at their new home in the Lake View Apartments on the Lake Rd. the couple left for a wedding trip to Buffalo.
  Mrs. Horton attended Ithaca High School and was employed before her marriage in Jones Five Cents to a Dollar Store."
