Ithacan [Wilfred G. Purdy] Joins Institute of Americas.

"Wilfred G. Purdy of 110 N. Sunset Drive, chief of program operations at the state office of the Farmers Home Administration here, has joined the Institute of Inter-American Affairs. He has reported in Washington for temporary training.
Purdy and his family have been residents of Ithaca for the last 4 years. They expect to sail from New Orleans May 2 to take up their new headquarters at Port-au-Prince in Haiti. Purdy expects to remain in Haiti for at least 2 years and while there will act as agricultural consultant."
