Obituary for Seeber C. Tarbell

"Seeber C. Tarbell, 76, of 105 Dover Road, Fayetteville, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Born in East Freetown, Mr. Tarbell lived in the Syracuse area 21 years.
Mr. Tarbell joined Cooperative GLF Exchange in 1933 as an assistant manager of several stores. He was named personnel manager of the GLF distribution system and was promoted in 1957 to assistant to the director of distribution.
Mr. Tarbell was named director of personnel for the GLF organization in 1959 and was retained in that position when GLF merged with two other cooperatives to form Agway in 1964.
Mr. Tarbell was elected a vice-president of Agway in 1966 and was appointed executive assistant to General Manager Ronald N. Goddard in 1971.
Mr. Tarbell was a member of De Witt Community Church, Cortlandville Lodge 470, F&AM, and the Syracuse Rotary Club. He was a former president of the board of directors of the Onondaga County Cooperative Extention Association, former vice-president of the Hiawatha Council of the Boy Scouts of America and former member of the personnel committee of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Karen Meyer of Syracuse and Linda Becler of Fredericksburg, Va.; and three grand-children."
