Enough Cornell Bradfields for 11 Stories?
Family on campus for dedication of Bradfield Hall -- which has 11 stories.

The Ithaca Journal, Dec 5 1968, P. 17 (with photo of Prof. Richard Bradfield)

"Today's dedication of Cornell's Bradfield Hall has drawn members of the family to Ithaca from points in the United States, South America, and the Philippine Islands.
All but one of the six Bradfield children, all of whom are Cornellians, are here for the ceremony, together with several spouses and grandchildren.
The scientist for whom the 11-story agronomy building is being named, Richard Bradfield, professor emeritus of agronomy at Cornell, and his wife, Hannah, have been in the Philippines for nearly five years now. They flew here from Manila, where he is stationed as a Rockefeller Foundation consultant at the International Rice Institute.
Eventually they hope to return to their Ithaca home at 711 Triphammer Rd.
Richard Bradfield Jr. of Cranford, N.J., is with the personnel office of the New York City Division, Kraft Food Corp. He earned his B.A. in 1949 at Cornell and majored in psychology. With him is his wife, the former Eleanor Shepherd, daughter of John C. Shepherd of Danby and herself a member of the Class of 1949. Their younger child, Gary, a freshman at Wagner College, Staten Island, is with them. The older son, Richard III, is a senior at Transylvania College in Kentucky.
Robert B. Bradfield, who is here with his wife, Nancy, and oldest child, Wendy, is associate clinical professor of human nutrition at the University of California at Berkeley. He is lecturing at Cornell this semester. His Cornell degrees are B.S. 1951, Master of Nutritional Science, 1953 and Ph.D in 1955. His other two children are Debbie and Robert E.
Stillman (Tan) Bradfield, associate professor of anthropology at Kalamazoo Coilege, Mich., flew to Ithaca from Lima, Peru, where he is doing research. His Cornell degrees are B.A. 1956, M.A. 1957, and Ph.D 1963. With him came his wife, Leila Aflatoun Bradfield - also a three-degree holder from Cornell - and their sons, David and Mark.
David M. Bradfield, sales manager of Essex Wire Corp. in St. Louis, Mo., came to Ithaca with his wife, Anita, and daughter, Susan. He is the athlete of the Bradfield family. He was on the championship 1949 basketball team at Ithaca High School, was co-captain of the Ivy championship Cornell basketball team and also was co-captain of the varsity lacrosse team, winning All-American honorable mention. He earned the B.A. in 1954 and the Master of Business Administration in 1959.
Patricia Jane Bradfield Baasel is here with her husband, William and son, David, from Athens, Ohio. She holds a B.S. in child development from Cornell, 1959, and the following year received the M.S. from Michigan University. Her husband, a 1962 PhD. from Cornell, is associate professor of chemical engineering at Ohio University.
James Worthington Bradfield, the youngest son, is a member of the Class of 1966 at Cornell but transferred to the University of California at Berkeley from which he was graduated with honors in June 1968. He is in Kodiak, Alaska, and is not returning for today's ceremony. He was in Ithaca not long ago, his mother said, and toured the building that was to be named Bradfield Hall.
The elder Bradfields are not themselves Cornellians. He holds a bachelor of liberal arts degree from Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio, and a Ph. D. in soil science from Ohio State University. She earned a Ph.D. in nutrition at the University of Missouri."
