Born in Iowa, March 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ida Rose Barnes. She worked and lived in the Ithaca and Freeville area most of her life. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeanne Hercinger Vanderbilt ... and a sister, Opal Barnes Schroeder. She is survived by a daughter, Marchetta Hercinger Utter of Freeville ..."
