Obituary for John C. Shevalier
The Ithaca Journal, Nov 26 1952, P. 7, Col. 1

"John C. Shevalier, 58, of Brooktondale died today, Nov. 26, 1952, in Memorial Hospital from injuries received 2 weeks ago in a wood accident near Tahusee in the Adirondacks where he was employed as a lumberjack.
  He was a veteran of World War 1.
  He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Alfred Cornell of Brooktondale, Mrs. Archie Doty of Junction City, Kan., Mrs. Robert Stein and Miss Beverly Shevalier of Richford and four sons, John C. Shevalier Jr., of Brooktondale, Leon G. Shevalier of Ithaca, Nathan and Norman Shevalier of Richford."
