"ETNA - Mrs. Mona Spaulding, 81, of Etna died Sunday, Feb. 6, 1977, in Tompkins County Hospital.
  Born in Rochester, Dec. 1, 1895, daughter of the late John Knapp and Alice Hampton Hallock, she had lived in Etna for more than 50 years. She was the widow of C. Harry Spaulding, who died in 1967.
  A member of Etna Community Church, she was also a past Matron of Dryden Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; Past Matron and District Deputy President of Groton Amaranth; and a member of Dryden Senior Citizens.
  Surviving are a son, Harry H. Spaulding of Roseland, Fla.; eight grand-children; one of whom is Mrs. Rick (Barbara) Lyons of Ithaca; two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter; a nephew, John Fisher of New Monmouth, N.J."
