"Robert L. Hull, Dean Emeritus of the University of Arizona College of Fine Arts, died February 12. 1999, in Tucson, Arizona. A Memorial Concert was given in his memory by the University School of Music on February 28, 1999.
Hull earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester and his doctorate from Cornell University. He was Director of Music Activities at Cornell from 1947 - 1956 and directed the University Orchestra, Chorus, and the Elmira Civic Chorus.

He is survived by Jeanne Bredbenner Hull, his wife, of Tucson, Arizona, his sister, Mary Louise Stacy and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca, NY."
