Marriage of Myrtle Caroline Franklin to Jack Corson Giroux. Ithaca Journal, July 7 1948, P 4

"Miss Myrtle Caroline Franklin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney W. Franklin of Locke RD 2, became the bride of Jack Corson Giroux, - son of Mr. and Mrs. George Giroux of Ithaca RD 1, at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 1948, in the Lutheran Church.

  The bride was graduated from Ithaca High School, Class of 1948, and is employed at Rothschild's. The bridegroom was graduated from Waverly High School, attended Cornell University, and is employed in the Dairy Building at Cornell.
  The bride was entertained at a shower given by her mother at the home of Mrs. Charles Shafer, 214 Dryden Rd., and a personal shower given by Mrs. F. K Naegely at Esty's.
  After July 19 the couple will make its home on DeWitt Place."
