"William J. Fralick, 66, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home on the Pony Hollow road, five miles southwest of Newfield on the Ithaca-Elmira road at noon Saturday, Aug. 24, 1940.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flossie Fralick; a son, Clifford, aged 12 years; a daughter Catherine, aged 10 years; five sisters, Mrs. A.L. Tatum of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Earl Schutt of Slaterville, Mrs. Carrie Countryman, Mrs. Earl Black, Mrs. Frances Sutherland, all of Ithaca."
