Marriage of Lt. Helen Elizabeth Engert to Carl Herwald Sundell, Lt. (jg), USNR on April 6 1946.

 "Lt. Helen Elizabeth Engert, Army Nurse Corps, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Burbank Engert of Rochester, and Carl Herwald Sundell, Lt. (junior grade), USNR; son of Ernest H. Sundell and the late Mrs. Sundell of Ithaca, were married Saturday noon, Apr. 6, 1946.
  The wedding was performed in the chapel of the First Unitarian Church, Rochester, by the Rev. David Rhys Williams.
  The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore uniform and carried a prayerbook with white orchids and freesia. Her attendant, Miss Margaret E. Phillips, wore a spring print and a corsage of spring flowers.
  Lt. Robert M. Murphy, USNR, of the USS Sardony, was best man.
  A wedding breakfast was served at the Rochester Club, followed by a small reception at the bride's home.
  After a honeymoon in the South, the bride will return to her station at Bolling Field, Washington, D.C., and the bridegroom to his ship.
  Mr. and Mrs. Sundell attended Oberlin College. The bride was graduated from the School of Nursing General Hospital, Boston. Mr. Sundell also attended the University of Texas."
