"H. D. Blakeslee, 88, a lifelong resident of Newfield, died Sunday evening, June 17, 1951, in Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He is survived by a son, Howard D. Blakeslee of Binghamton; a brother, Frank Blakeslee of Ithaca: a sister, Mrs. Edna Sorisky of Wilmington, Dei, two grand-children, Howard B. Blakeslee Jr. of Binghamton and Mrs. Betty Mitchell of Binghamton; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Allen Funeral Chapel, Newfield, with the Rev. Allen Best, Methodist student pastor at Cornell, officiating.
Burial will be in Inlet Valley Cemetery."
