Marriage of Walter King Stone to Edith Adams on August 19, 1902

"On Tuesday evening Mr. Walter King Stone, formerly of Rochester, N. Y., and Miss Edith Adams were married by Rev. M. Sapp in the presence of their immediate families at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Ada G. Adams, 9 Rhode Island avenue. The bridal couple stood in the bow window, which was banked in palms and roses. The bride wore white organdie,, veil, and orange blossoms; her sister, Miss Ada Adams, in white and pink, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Adams, in a most becoming gown of pale gray, gave her daughter away. The groom's best man was Mr. John Hayford. Among the relatives present were Mr. and Mrs. William T. Stone, of Rochester, parents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. John Hayford, of this city, the latter a sister of the groom, and Mrs. James Stone, of Chicago. A large reception followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Stone left the same evening for Rochester N. Y., where both are well known. The couple will visit Buffalo and Niagara Falls and go by water to Detrolt and Chicago on their way to La Salle, Ill. where they will reside."
