Marriage of Nancy E. Kritser to Arthur John Masterman on July 7, 1927

"Miss Nancy E. Kritser and Arthur John Masterman were married at 8 o'clock this morning at the home of Prof. H. H. Whetzel and Mrs. Whetzel at Forest Home. Rev. W. F. Hastings performed the ceremony, in the presence of a group of friends. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. W. G. MacMillan.
  The bride wore a dark blue crepe Elizabeth gown trimmed with contrasting bands of satin and a shoulder bouquet of Ophelia roses. Mrs. Masterman, whose home is Taylor, Texas, is a graduate of the State College of Texas and Master of Home Economics, 1927, Cornell, and a member of the staff of the College of Home Economics.
  Mr. Masterman is a graduate of Cornell with the class of 1920 and a member of Alpha Zeta fraternity. He is now with the co-operative G.L.F. Exchange at Ithaca.
  After July 23, Mr. and Mrs. Masterman will be at home at 202 Stewart Avenue."

Obituary for Arthur John Masterman

SANTA FE, N.M. - Arthur John Masterman, 93, formerly of the Ithaca area, died Friday, August 1, 1986, in Casa Real Health Care Center, Santa Fe, N.M., where he had resided for the past year.
"Mr. Masterman was born in Niagara Falls on April 28, 1893.
  He retired in 1958 from the Grand[sic] League Federation (GLF), now Agway, after 30 years of employment there.
  Mr. Masterman was a 1919 graduate of the New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University and worked in India for the Standard Oil Company of New York before joining the GLF.
  He was a Navy veteran of both world wars and had been active the American Legion and Reserve Officers Association. He also was a member of the Forest Home Chapel. For 20 years after his retirement, Mr. Masterman operated a Christmas tree farm near Enfield.
  Mr. Masterman, a widower since the death of his wife, Nancy, in September 1984, is survived by two sons, John S. Masterman of Kansas City, Mo., and David S. Masterman of Santa Fe., N.M.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Niagara Falls.  No funeral is planned."

Note: Masterman worked for the Grange League Federation (which merged into Agway in 1964)
