"Miss Laura E. Post of 109 Judd Falls Rd., Forest Home, a retired secretary, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1967, in Tompkins County Hospital. She was 81 years old.
  She was born Feb. 20, 1886, in Paterson, N.J., daughter of the late William and Jennie Post. She was graduated from Ithaca High School in 1904 and lived most of her life in Forest Home.
  Her first position was secretary to David Dean, a criminal lawyer. She then worked as secretary for the late James M. Sherman, professor of bacteriology and dairy industry at Cornell University, from 1912 until she retired in 1954.
  She was a member of Forest Home Chapel, Women's Society of Christian Service, Eastern Star, Masonic Ladies Club, Home Bureau, Forest Home Sewing Circle, and Rebekah.
  She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. W. Post of Rochester, a niece and cousins.
  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wagner Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd V. Moffett of Forest Home Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfield."
