"Bert Thomas, 75, of Newfield RD 1 died today, Nov. 2, 1967, in Tompkis County Hospital after a long illness. He was a farmer and had lived in the community for 60 years. He was born Jan. 1, 1892 in Erin, son of the late William and Myrtle Westbrook Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Snyder Thomas; a brother, Herbert Thomas of Groton; two sisters, Mrs. Lida Barton of Erin and Mrs. Nettie Boyer of Elmira."
