Marriage of Elizabeth C. Mosher and Otis F. Curtis, Jr.

"Miss Elizabeth C. Mosher, daughter of Dr. Joseph Mosher and Mrs. Mosher of Genoa, and Otis F. Curtis Jr., son of Prof. O. F. Curtis and Mrs. Curtis of Forest Home were married at 9 a.m. on Palm Sunday at the First Unitarian Church. Approximately 75 friends of the couple and the immediate families witnessed the ceremony which was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Abbot Peterson.
The bride was gowned in a peacock blue figured silk lace frock with Japonica accessories and wore a corsage of violets and white hyacinth blooms. She had for her only attendant, Miss Patsy Curtis, sister of the bridegroom, who was attired in a frock of similar material in navy blue with matching accessories. Her corsage was of pink hyacinth blooms, delphinium and feverfew. Joseph Mosher Jr. of Genoa, brother of the bride, acted as best man.
A wedding breakfast was served in a private dining room at Willard Straight Hall for 11 members of the immediate families. The couple is on a motor trip through Pennsylvania and Ohio. They will be at home after Apr. 30 at 103 Highland Pl.
The bride was graduated from the College of Liberal Arts at Syracuse University in 1935, where she was affiliated with Kappa Delta sorority and the Women's Glee Club. Mrs. Curtis was also graduated from Cortland State Normal School and the Powelson Business Institute of Syracuse. She is secretary to the head of the Department of Botany at Cornell.
Mr. Curtis was graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, in 1936. He is a teaching assistant at the laboratory of plant physiology, Department of Botany, at Cornell. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, national educational honorary fraternity, and Sigma Xi, science honorary fraternity."
