"Mr. and Mrs. James T. Powers of 1040 E. Shore Drive announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Catherine Powers, to Frank H. Davenport, son of Herbert L. Davenport of 610 W. Court St.
Miss Powers was graduated from Ithaca High School and from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Elmira. She is employed on the staff at H. M. Biggs Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Davenport was graduated from Ithaca High School and served two years in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant. He is on the apprenticeship program at General Electric, Syracuse.
The wedding will take place Saturday, Jan. 7, 1956."
